Here's the Dish... On making a special gift for Mother's Day!

Recycle, Reuse and REPURPOSE!  Use your imagination and make a wonderful dish garden or centerpiece with something you might have in your kitchen!

Here at MSC, of course, we have our newest Whitewash Bow Collection, perfect for all the spring flowers that are blooming in our local garden shop! We could not resist the petunias, vinca, impatiens and daisies for the bread basket, serving bowl and the pitcher!

Our Whitewash Bread Basket prepared to hold a nice plant for Mother's Day. Whitewash Collection used as plant pots for a Mother's Day gift.

After choosing our plants, we lined the bowl with fine mesh wire that we also found at the plant shop.  We used this since our breadbasket bowl had holes.  It is not necessary if you don't have holes in the dish you are using.

In our serving dish, we actually left the plants in the pots and covered with moss!  Giving the plants like this allows Mom to plant the plants wherever she wants, keeps your hands clean and mom's new dish is not so dirty!

It helps to have a great potting table like this as well!  Thank's to Keiko's Dad for this fabulous work space!

Now, for the finishing touches to the arrangement, we added Spoon Markers!  They come with FUN sayings (Born to Garden, Free Weeds, Water Me, You are my Sunshine, Grow Dammit & Bloom Dammit) or Herb (Rosemary, Thyme, Basil, Sage, Dill & Thyme).

Happy Mother's Day to all Moms!
